We participated in the LCMC Summer Savings Fair that they had at all of their hospitals including Children’s Hospital. The event allowed for LCMC employees to gather information and take advantage of savings products and discounts.

Financial Education for LSU Summer Scholars Program
Campus Federal conducted a Financial Education presentation to more than 40 students during the LSU Summer Scholars Program. The information presented ranged from Student Debt, Loans and the importance of Credit to name a few. Bryson Ellis, a Campus Federal Financial Services Representative and graduate of the program, was invited to speak.
LSU Freshman Orientation and Advising
Campus Federal attended Information Fairs held during Freshman Orientation, Advising and Preregistration (FOAP) for LSU. The events were held in the LSU Union and gave parents and students an opportunity to learn more about LSU and their many partners.
Summer Youth Employment Program
Old South Baton Rouge (OSBR) high school students participated in the Summer Youth Employment program work at various businesses across the city Tuesday - Friday. The students met with Blaine Grimes every Monday for the duration of the program for financial education training. Topics included: Understanding Your Check, Direct Deposit, Budgeting, Importance of Credit and Students Loans, to name a few. This program is sponsored by the Mayor's Office in partnership with the Big Buddy Program.

Our team attended the American Red Cross Power of the Purse event at LSU's Stadium Club. The event celebrates and supports the lifesaving mission of the American Red Cross and the Louisiana disaster response. Campus Federal team members featured include Randall Arroyo, Bonny Botts, Danielle Dawson, Nichole Vicknair, Ashley Poumaroux, Carla Tarleton, Jay Noel, and Blaine Grimes.

We stay very active in our communities. Campus Federal’s Janet Kratzberg is pictured at the News Orleans Kiwanis meeting in New Orleans. Kiwanis has provided countless community service hours in the New Orleans area.
Providing financial education is very important to Campus Federal. April was Financial Literacy Month, so all during the month we were out teaching financial education. We provided a lunch and learn featuring Financial Education for LSU’s Dental school. Campus Federal’s Nichole Vicknair presented valuable information to the students who are going into private practice.

Blaine Grimes attended the Annual Conference on Financial Education this month. The subjects and training materials ranged from financial education for youth to retired adults. Just over 100 individuals passionate about financial attended the conference. Pictured with Blaine are three Jumpstart Coalition State Presidents from St. Louis, Ohio and Rhode Island. Campus Federal is a long-time supporter of the Louisiana Jumpstart Coalition. April is also National Financial Education Month.
Urban Congress Conference
Anthony Ware and Blaine Grimes recently attended the Urban Congress Conference in Baton Rouge. Over 200 community leaders attended the daylong event to discuss everything from economic development to serving underserved communities.

LSU Ovarian Cancer Gala
The LSU Athletic Department recently participated in a local Gala for Ovarian Cancer Fundraiser and extended an invitation to include Campus Federal at the table. LSU Head Baseball Coach Paul Mainieri as Special Guest and Emcee. Roughly 200 people attended the event to show their support in raising funds to reduce the number of lives lost to the disease.

Every year, the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals® Champions program identifies children from each state with remarkable medical stories. These Champions serve as ambassadors for the 17 million children treated at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals annually. The Champions and their families will travel to Washington, D.C., and Orlando, FL, in October to highlight the vital work of children's hospitals.

LSU Dental School Breakfast with Tooth Fair
Campus Federal helped sponsor Breakfast with the Tooth Fairy this past month at the LSU Dental School in New Orleans. Kids were able to meet the Tooth Fairy and visit individual stations showing how to brush and floss their teeth and maintain overall healthy teeth.
Lemonade Day 2015
We partnered with the Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge, Louisiana Jumpstart Coalition, the LSU Business School and the New Orleans Saints for Lemonade Day 2015. The program is designed to teach children the importance and benefits of financial education and entrepreneurship. The event was held inside the Saints locker-room with over 20K backpacks made....a winning event!

LSU Lab School Financial Education
It's never too early to develop healthy savings habits. That's just what the subject was last week at Main campus when a group of kindergarten students from LSU Lab School made a fieldtrip to the credit union to learned more about what is a credit union, how does money work and how saving money early can benefit you later in life. The students also learned the different job positions that exist at the credit union.
Capital Area Heart Walk 2015
Campus Federal volunteers were among the 20,000 walkers/runners that participated in the Annual Capital Area Heart Association Annual Walk this past Saturday. The event is held to raise funds and help create awareness of disease and stroke in our local communities. A great time was had by all.

OLOL held its first annual Wellness Wednesday Chef Cook-off on Wednesday, March 11, 2015! It came down to CEO, Scott Wester and OLOL College President, Tina Holland. OLOL Campus Federal Branch Manager, June Mouton was also a winner and is pictured below with Tina and Scott. Congrats June!

St. James Parade
Campus Federal participated in the annual St. James Mardi Gras parade. Thank you to all for making this parade a special time for the St. James residents.
LSU Vet School Open House
The LSU Vet School Open House was a huge success! Over 6,000 people came through the Vet School on Saturday, January 31, 2015. Thank you to all of our Campus Federal volunteers! A good time was had by all.
OLOL Wellness Program
Campus Federal has partnered with OLOL’s Wellness programs to promote Healthy Lives and Healthy Financial Education Habits. Since the first of the year, the groups has conducted (3) health fairs and recently took the show on the road to the Livingston campus with more to come.
Pre-Dental Workshop at the LSU Dental School
Campus Federal participated in the Pre Dental Workshop with the Dental School. This event gives undergraduate students from all over the state the opportunity to learn about the LSUHSC Dental School. The Dental School offered different classes throughout the day and a tour of the school. I was able to set up a table and talk about Campus Federal to these students. There were a variety of students from different colleges such as LSU, Southeastern, ULL, Nichol State, Xavier, Tulane…just to name a few.
Campus Federal cheered on runners at this year's LA Marathon! Our volunteers handed out water and powerade at a water station near mile 24 during Sunday's LA Marathon. Congratulations to all who participated!
Financial Education 2014 Year in Review
Throughout 2014, Campus Federal, with the help of Blaine Grimes, our Financial Literacy Coordinator, conducted 179 Financial Education presentations that included thousands of participants! In December 2014, 14 LSU Faculty and Staff members graduated from Campus Federal's Financial Education course. Congratulations to our Campus Federal graduates!
Campus Federal recently partnered with the Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge Foundation, EverFi and The Jumpstart Coalition to recognize high school students for completing a Financial Scholars Program. Over 100 students were recognized. Blaine Grimes, our Business Development and Financial Literary Coordinator, is pictured in the back third from the right.
The Big Buddy Program recently partnered with Baton Rouge Community leaders to celebrate its 16th Annual Day of the Mentor. After shadowing Blaine Grimes for the day and visiting the branches, James said he wants to start saving money ASAP and work at a credit union!
Campus Federal staff volunteered at the OLOL Tree Lighting ceremony this year and had a surprise visit from Santa!
Each year the LSU Honors College selects a semester read and community project for its students. This year's project was Hope for the Warriors and students sold wristbands on campus to support our service members and their families. Campus Federal sponsored the event and together helped students raise over $1800!
Campus Federal hosted the annual Geaux Pink fundraiser. Funds raised went to OLOL/Mary Bird Perkins to help in the fight against cancer.
