To Support Dementia Research

BATON ROUGE, LA, To celebrate the grand opening of its third Baton Rouge branch, Campus Federal Credit Union today announced a new partnership with the Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation to support the Institute for Dementia Research and Prevention at Pennington Biomedical Research Center. As part of its "Members Remember" charitable campaign, Campus Federal Credit Union will make a financial contribution on behalf of new and existing members who meet certain criteria.
The Institute for Dementia Research and Prevention works to improve the quality of life for individuals in Louisiana with Alzheimer's disease by generating world-class research programs focused on dementia prevention.
"Having served the LSU community since 1934, Campus Federal launched 'Members Remember' to honor that strong relationship as well as fight a disease that has afflicted so many Louisiana residents," explained John Milazzo, Campus Federal President and CEO. "We are pleased to work with the Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation to support the Center's nutrition-based research which aims to treat and prevent chronic diseases including Alzheimer's and dementia."
"Through our mutual relationship with LSU, Pennington Biomedical Research Foundation is proud to partner with Campus Federal Credit Union to raise awareness about Alzheimer's disease and dementia," said Jennifer Winstead, PBRF President and CEO. "Pennington scientists are dedicated to advancing dementia research through what is now the 12th largest brain study in the nation."
