CAMPUS FEDERAL RECOGNIZED AS
COMMUNITY PARTNER BY
MARY BIRD PERKINS CANCER CENTER
For Immediate Release
Baton Rouge, LA - December 22, 2012
Today Campus Federal Credit Union was presented with the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center (MBPCC) Corporate Champion award for monetary support during the inaugural 2012 'Geaux Pink' breast cancer awareness initiative during the month of November.
We are honored to be recognized as a corporate champion by Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, say Ron Moreau, vice president of business development and community relations. Since the Campus Federal merger with the OLOL credit union in April 2012, and the recent announcement that MBPCC is now part of the Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, providing support for this worthy cause ties directly to our community service program and builds on our relationship with the entire OLOL campus, says Moreau.
During the month of November, employees and members had opportunities to support the 'Geaux Pink' initiative by purchasing pink lapel pins and ribbons in the branches, while employees could make donations for select dress down days. The credit union also sold plates of jambalaya with all the proceeds dedicated to the 'Geaux Pink' effort.
