Campus Federal And Our Lady Of The Lake
Regional Federal Credit Union Plan To Join Forces
For Immediate Release
Baton Rouge, LA - February 23, 2012
Campus Federal, Louisiana's third largest credit union, announced today an agreement with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Federal Credit Union (OLOLRFCU) to begin merger proceedings. According to Ron Moreau, vice president of business development and community relations at Campus Federal, "the credit union partnership has been approved by both Board of Directors, however, regulatory approval and a vote of the OLOLRFCU membership is still pending."
"Having served the LSU community since 1934, we saw an opportunity to partner with OLOLRFCU after LSU announced a cooperative endeavor agreement with Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center this past year," explained John Milazzo, Campus Federal President and CEO.
"It was a tremendous opportunity we could not pass up," said Vivian Frey, Chairman of the Board for OLOLRFCU. "In this new regulatory environment, this partnership will provide superior benefits to our members and the entire OLOL community."
Moreau says that once the merger is completed the combined credit unions will operate under the Campus Federal name and brand.
