Campus Federal presented an $11,000 donation for the LSU Foundation to LSU President William Tate IV and LSU Interim Executive Vice President and Provost Matt Lee at the LSU New Faculty Summit in August.
This donation is part of the Campus Federal Teaching Enhancement Fund. The credit union developed this fund to ensure faculty members learn best teaching practices within their disciplines. The funds donated by Campus Federal over the past 20 years have been used to provide professional development of LSU educators. In all, the Campus Federal Teaching Enhancement Fund has provided $390,000 in support of this cause.
This donation to the LSU Foundation will assist in moving education forward at the university. The LSU Foundation is the primary fundraising entity for academics at LSU whose sole purpose is to provide philanthropic support to LSU. This is accomplished through the work of a campus-wide team of frontline development officers and a support team of advancement services, communications and marketing, donor relations, financial and talent management personnel.
Campus Federal has served as LSU’s credit union since 1934, and this fund demonstrates the credit union’s commitment to provide excellent experiences to its members and the LSU communities it serves.
“While a lot has changed, Campus Federal remains committed to giving back to the LSU Faculty on this campus and statewide,” Campus Federal President and CEO Jane Verret said. “We are excited to continue supporting the development efforts to strengthen education and wellness to make the lives of our members better.”
