The best way to describe Andrea is ‘always on the go’. As the Business Development Officer in Shreveport she is tasked with developing relationships and supporting our mission of people helping people. Any given day, you can find Andrea supporting our community through hosting and attending company benefit fairs, new hire orientations, community events, or teaching financial education.
Andrea has been a part of the Campus Federal team for just over 5 years. “I love that I love my job. I love the people, I love that we’re a family. I like that I’m not a number, and our members aren’t a number. We see people as people. Whether that’s an employee or member,” said Andrea in a recent discussion about her work at Campus Federal.
Andrea’s role in Business Development is all about relationships. You won’t find a kinder, warmer smile than Andrea’s. Her engaging personality is instrumental in forming lasting relationships with our Shreveport partners and community.
“I tell people I make friends for a living. But I break it down into 3 pillars. First, I’m responsible for brand awareness -- building relationships and continuing partnerships.
I handle our community involvement. I make sure to look for opportunities that allow us to get involved in the community through sponsorship and volunteerism. One of the many organizations I enjoy working with is Kiwanis Club of Shreveport.
I also manage our financial education program in Shreveport in addition to participating in Bank On Shreveport. As an advocate for financial education, I teach several classes all over Shreveport on subjects such as budgeting, loans and credit, and more.”
Andrea is always looking for opportunities to get involved and make a difference in our community. “Through work, I met Bobby Cox who works for Children’s Miracle Network. I was able to facilitate a connection with the LSU Shreveport Phi Mu and we all worked together on the inaugural LSUS Phi Mu Dance Marathon to Benefit Children’s Miracle Network. The event was a success, raising over $10,000.”
