A branch manager has many roles from overseeing the operation of their location to building relationships and guiding members along their financial journey. Wendy, Branch Manager at our S. Sherwood Forest Branch, values her relationships with the members that visit her branch.
Wendy has been a part of Campus Federal for ten years, and in those years, she has helped countless members through good and bad times.
“The best part of my job is working with members and Campus Federal team members. I have met so many wonderful people. I love visiting with my members who come in every week just to talk and have coffee and our team is so welcoming and friendly! They add humor and laughter to my day. Simply put…they make me smile. It is truly a family atmosphere,” said Wendy.
She has many stories but one resonates with her still today. “Several years ago, one of our members was taking on the task of becoming a caretaker for a loved one. He was overwhelmed with setting up the various services needed not to mention the financial aspects. Becoming a caretaker can often be overwhelming. Finances were the one thing we didn’t want them to have to worry about, so they could concentrate on caring for her. We sat with him to ensure everything was taken care of from paperwork and automatic deposits to bill payments and Online Banking. They were so thankful. Its these instances, where we can make a difference, that make my job so meaningful. Campus Federal has been there through so many stages of this member’s life and helped in so many ways. They come in weekly to say hi and visit. They are family.”
Often our members become friends and family. We strive to make a difference in our member’s lives and be a partner especially in times when they need us the most. Wendy is just one more example of the Campus Federal difference.
