Campus Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors has four (4) board members with expiring terms that have accepted nominations to continue. The nominating committee, comprised of current board members, is placing Ben Lousteau, Sheila Faour, Vivian Frey (for three year terms) and Brent Herold (for a two year term) before the membership for re-election in March 2019. Members who are not nominated but who are interested in running for a seat can be nominated by petition. The petition must be signed by a minimum of 1% or 379 Campus Federal Credit Union members in good standing, as of September 30, 2018. Accompanying the petition should be a statement of qualifications, biographical data, and a letter from the nominee that he/she is agreeable to the nomination and will serve, if elected. Mail these items to Campus Federal Credit Union, Attention: Nominating Committee, P.O. Box 98036, Baton Rouge, LA 70898. All petitions must be received no later than Friday, February 8, 2019. If no petitions are received, the attached nominees will be seated to the Campus Federal board.
Information on nominees for Board of Directors
Ben Lousteau began serving as a member of the board in June 2013 and has accepted the nomination to serve another three-year term. Lousteau began serving as a volunteer associate board member in March 2011. He began his career with LSU Health New Orleans in 1995 and is currently the Executive Director of Fiscal Operations for the Dean in the School of Medicine. His current responsibilities include serving as a liaison between the School of Medicine and its faculty group practice, the LSU Healthcare Network. He earned a bachelor’s degree in both Accounting & Management and an MBA from the University of New Orleans.
Sheila Faour began serving as a member of the Supervisory Committee in 2006, became a member of the board in 2008 and has accepted the nomination to serve another three year term. She is currently the Chief Financial Officer at LSU Health Shreveport, where she has been employed for 29 years, serving previously as the Director of Budgets and Planning, Budget Fiscal Analyst, and Clinic Business Manager. Faour also has work experience with both finance and savings and loan companies prior to joining LSU Health Shreveport.
Vivian Frey began service as a board member in 2012 and has accepted a nomination to serve another three year term. She was past President and Vice President of the OLOL Federal Credit Union Board of Directors prior to the merger with Campus Federal in April of 2012. Frey has been employed with OLOL Regional Medical Center since February 1990 and currently holds the Administration Marketing Promotions Specialist position. She has served as a board member for the Baton Rouge Regional Eye Bank since 2000 and on the Board of Inter-Civic Council of Greater Baton Rouge since 2017.
Brent Herold was appointed to the board in November 2018 to fill an unexpired two year vacancy and has served as an Associate Board member for Campus Federal since 2014. He is currently Executive Director of Auxiliary Services & Supply Chain Management for the LSU Health Sciences Center located in New Orleans, where he has been employed for 16 years. Herold earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s degree in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. He is retired from the US Army and worked eight years in private industry before joining LSU.
