2021 Campus Federal Board Nomination Notification
Campus Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors has three (3) board members with expiring terms that have accepted nominations to continue. The nominating committee, comprised of current board members, is placing Yvette B. Marsh, Ph.D.; Roger Hinson, Ph.D., and Roland Mitchell, Ph.D. before the membership for re-election in March 2021.
Members who are not nominated but who are interested in running for a seat can be nominated by petition. The petition must be signed by a minimum of 1% or 383 Campus Federal Credit Union members in good standing, as of September 30, 2020. Accompanying the petition should be a statement of qualifications, biographical data, and a letter from the nominee that he/she is agreeable to the nomination and will serve, if elected. Mail these items to Campus Federal Credit Union, Attention: Nominating Committee, P.O. Box 98036, Baton Rouge, LA 70898. All petitions must be received no later than Thursday, February 11, 2021. If no petitions are received, the attached nominees will be seated to the Campus Federal Board of Directors.
Information on Nominees for Board of Directors
Yvette B. Marsh, Ph.D. was appointed to the board in December 2010 to fill an unexpired vacancy. She is currently Executive Director of Talent Management for the LSU Foundation located in Baton Rouge. Marsh earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a master’s degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences, and a doctorate in Human Resource Education with an ISDS minor, all from Louisiana State University. Marsh has been a Campus Federal member for 20 years.
Roger Hinson, Ph.D. began his volunteer service with Campus Federal as a member of the Ambassador Group in March 1988. He also served as a member of the Supervisory Committee in March 1991 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in May 1999. Hinson is a retired Professor and Donald M. Welge endowed chair in Agribusiness. He was a member of the faculty in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at the LSU Agricultural Center in Baton Rouge from 1980 to 2014. Since retirement, he has served LSU and the local communitythrough volunteer service with the Kiwanis Club of LSU, as president of the LSU Faculty and Staff Retirees club, and as an officer and Board member of the Faculty Club Inc.
Roland Mitchell, Ph.D. was appointed to the board in December 2020 to fill an unexpired vacancy having previously served as an Associate Board member since 2017. Dr. Mitchell is currently the Dean of the LSU College of Human Sciences & Education in Baton Rouge. He received his BA in History from Fisk University, his M.Ed. in Higher Education from Vanderbilt University and his Ph.D. in Educational Research from The University of Alabama. Dr. Mitchell joined LSU in 2005 as an instructor and most recently served as the Associate Dean for Research &Academic Services and Jo Ellen Levy Yates Endowed Professor in the School of Education.
