Long Farm Village gets Campus Federal Credit Union to Anchor Office Building

May 11th, 2020

A digitally focused Campus Federal Credit Union will occupy a 1,700-square-foot space in the office park that’s under construction in Long Farm Village, the mixed-use development at the intersection of Old Jefferson Highway and Antioch Road. The credit union marks the first tenant to join the office development.

Construction on a 6,500-square-foot multi-tenant office building is expected to wrap in September, with Campus Federal slated to anchor the building when it opens early this fall.

The new branch location will feature a “Campus Federal Interaction Center” where members and guests can interact with technology alongside dedicated in-office employees, who can then connect members to Campus Federal employees with expertise in certain areas in an “Expert Nearby” room. The selection and function of the location were inspired by statewide research conducted in 2019 among young adult members and nonmembers.

“The layout of the Interaction Center will incorporate multiple changes from a traditional branch layout, providing a more consultative-type experience,” says Campus Federal President and CEO Jane Verret in a prepared statement.

The focus on technology comes amid COVID-19 as credit union members have ramped up their adoption of digital channels, Verret says. Branches are allowing remote account access via online and mobile banking tools as well as drive-thru service, with some lobby service available by appointment.
