Campus Federal has an opening for a Loan Operations Collateral Specialist. The primary purpose of this position is to assist Campus Federal in our Mission, to enhance the lives of our members and the communities we serve. Providing excellent service to members and to team members of Campus Federal accomplishes this purpose.

Real Estate

  • Perform a quality assurance and compliance check on all real estate secured consumer/retail, and mortgage loans to adhere to CFCU policy & guidelines as well as state and federal regulations; identify errors; write exceptions; exercise authority to correct as needed.
  • Ensure Loan Officer collected HMDA data is entered correctly in the HMDA system
  • Process Subordination Requests; obtain approval
  • Track & process re-inscriptions of mortgage for all real estate secured loans to ensure collateral positions are retained
  • Quote payoff for all real estate secured loans
  • Participate in the Collateral Valuation Program (appraisal) for retail real estate secured loans by ordering appraisal, reviewing, and accepting/denying evaluation per regulation.
  • Process Closed Loan Report to ensure collateral is released and mortgages are canceled timely

Motor Vehicle

  • Perform a quality assurance and compliance review of all motor vehicle and/or UCC Collateralized loans to ensure loans meet CFCU’s guidelines and policies as well as adhere to all federal and state regulations; identify errors; write exceptions; exercise authority to correct errors
  • Perfect vehicle & boat, motor, trailer collateral for direct loans
    • Determine documentation, taxes, and fees; complete and process paperwork to obtain vehicle transfer and/or lien recordation through appropriate state Tag Agency/Secretary of State/Coast Guard/FAA/Wildlife & Fisheries as applicable; exercise authority to correct as needed; maintain follow-up for receipt of lien perfected collateral; mail license plates
    • Ensure electronic lien & title entries are accurately completed

Act as back-up for Loan Document Specialist, Consumer Loan Processor, Motor Vehicle Loan Processor, & QA Real Estate Collateral Specialist

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years real estate loan documentation experience
  • 2 years relevant financial institution experience with a concentration on motor vehicle experience and loan documentation
  • Louisiana Notary preferred
