Campus Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors has two (2) Board members with expiring terms, and one (1) Associate Board member who have accepted nominations to serve. The nominating committee, comprised of current Board members, is placing Roland Mitchell, Ph.D. and Yvette B. Marsh, Ph.D. before the membership for re-election, and Gena Doucet, MBA for election to the Board of Directors for a three year term beginning in March 2024. 

Members who are not nominated but who are interested in running for a seat can be nominated by petition. The petition must be signed by a minimum of 1% or 414 Campus Federal Credit Union members in good standing, as of September 30, 2023. Accompanying the petition should be a statement of qualifications, biographical data, and a letter from the nominee that he/she is agreeable to the nomination and will serve if elected. Mail these items to Campus Federal Credit Union, Attention: Nominating Committee, P. O. Box 98036, Baton Rouge, LA 70898. All petitions must be received no later than Friday, February 17, 2024. If no petitions are received, the nominees listed in bold in the first paragraph will be seated to the Campus Federal Board of Directors.

Gena Doucet, MBA, has accepted a nomination to serve a three-year term on the Board of Directors, having previously served as an Associate Board member since July 2020. Doucet is currently the Chief Human Resources and Development Officer for the Louisiana Community and Technical College System. Prior to her current position, Doucet worked within the LSU System for 20 years beginning with LSU A&M, moving to Pennington Biomedical and then to the LSU AgCenter. She received a bachelor’s degree in General Studies, a paralegal certification, and a master’s degree in Business Administration, all from the University of Louisiana in Lafayette. Doucet has been a member of Campus Federal for over 20 years.

Roland Mitchell, Ph.D., was appointed to the Board in December 2020 to fill an unexpired vacancy, having previously served as an Associate Board member since 2017. He has accepted the nomination to serve another three-year term. Dr. Mitchell is the E.B. “Ted” Robert Endowed Professor and Dean of the College of Human Sciences & Education at Louisiana State University. He received his bachelor’s degree in History from Fisk University, his M.Ed. in Higher Education from Vanderbilt University and his Ph.D. in Educational Research from The University of Alabama. Mitchell has a deep passion for impactful community service as evidenced through his membership on the advisory boards of the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services and the Louisiana Governor’s Taskforce on Community Policing and Reform. Mitchell has been a Campus Federal member for over 15 years.

Yvette B. Marsh, Ph.D., was appointed to the Board in December 2010 to fill an unexpired vacancy and has accepted the nomination to serve another three-year term. She is currently the Assistant Vice President of Talent Management at the LSU Foundation located in Baton Rouge. Dr. Marsh earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a master’s degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS), and a doctorate in Human Resource Education with an ISDS minor, all from Louisiana State University. Marsh has been a Campus Federal member for over 20 years.
