Campus Federal Credit Union is proud to announce the appointment of John W. Grubb as Chair of its Board of Directors at its recent Board Meeting. A dedicated credit union member since the early 1990s and long-time supporter of the LSU community, Grubb brings decades of leadership, communication and higher education experience to his new role.
Grubb’s involvement with Campus Federal spans over 25 years, including 23 years as a CFCU Ambassador before joining the Associate Board in 2018. In 2019, he was appointed to the Board of Directors and was officially elected in 2020. His appointment as Chair reflects his longstanding commitment to the credit union’s mission and members.
“We are honored to welcome John as our new Board Chair,” said Jane Verret, President and CEO of Campus Federal. “John’s deep roots in the LSU community and his extensive background in leadership and member engagement make him an ideal choice to help guide Campus Federal through its next chapter of strategic growth and service.”
A two-time graduate of LSU’s Manship School of Mass Communication, Grubb has spent the majority of his professional career on the LSU campus. He held leadership positions within the LSU College of Science and the LSU Alumni Association, including Vice President and General Manager of The Cook Hotel and Conference Center. Most recently, he joined the Baton Rouge Area Chamber as Manager of Internship Partnerships and Development, supporting workforce initiatives for high school students across the region.
Grubb’s service extends well beyond the university, with board roles at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame, Louisiana Travel Association and Baton Rouge Lodging Association, among others. His appointment as Chair signals Campus Federal’s commitment to being a trusted financial partner for every stage of life.
