  • Financial Service Representative

    Campus Federal Credit Union seeks experienced  Financial Service Representative in our New Orleans region to provide exceptional member service to current and prospective members through; consultative sales of appropriate Credit Union products and services.  FSR participates and supports Campus Federal in reaching its sales and service goals.  

    Candidates should be friendly and professional and have excellent customer service skills.  2+ years’ experience in opening new accounts and consumer lending, including making a lending decision, is required.  

    Responsibilities:

    • Actively cross-sell additional products and services by identifying needs of current and prospective members and offers appropriate credit union solutions.
    • Promotes business for the Credit Union by maintaining good member relations and referring members to appropriate in-house personnel and Credit Union affiliates for new services
    • Provides routine retail loan products to current and prospective members 
    • Assist in attaining established Credit Union and branch goals through active participation and promotion of sales management activities including outbound calling program.
    • Assumes responsibility and is accountable for adherence to Credit Union policies and procedures
    • Handle routine member inquires and problem resolution in a accurate and timely fashion
    • Conducts paying and receiving functions as needed.        

    Requirements: 

    • 2+ years’ experience in new accounts 
    • 2+ years’ experience in lending, including determining credit worthiness 
    • Strong customer service skills 
    • Ability to cross-sell products and services
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Member Experience Specialist

    Campus Federal Credit Union has an immediate opening for a Member Experience Specialist. The Member Experience Specialist will be the first to engage our guest and introduce them to the appropriate area within the branch to ensure a positive experience and proper traffic flow within the branch.

    Responsibilities:

    • Promptly greet members, guests and visitors as they enter the branch, identify their needs and guide them to the appropriate place within the Branch 
    • Provide the first impression for the member and ensure members are served and if they must wait, invite a member to sit in the lounge and offer a beverage while they wait for an FSR to be available
    • Sign in guests and visitors and assign a visitor’s badge  
    • Secures packages and envelopes that are dropped off and routes them to the proper personnel 
    • Direct members to appropriate employee, log members in to the member service log and monitors members' wait time and transaction time
    • Maintains safe deposit access records and mitigates risk during the safe deposit access process
    • Assist with branch morning and evening duties to include opening and closing the vault, working and locking the night depository, setting up the teller station with supplies and cash, and balancing the teller window/branch
    • Handles routine member inquires, financial transactions, account maintenance and basic problem resolution in an accurate and timely manner
    • Actively offer Credit Union products and services to current and prospective members
    • Prevent monetary and operational losses by bringing transactions above authority to a supervisor, properly placing holds for loss mitigation, and superior cash handling
    • Assume responsibility and is accountable for adherence to Credit Union policies and procedures
    • Assist in attaining established Credit Union and branch goals through active participation and promotion of sales activities 
    • Responsible for ensuring safety of Credit Union assets

  • Consumer Loan Underwriter

    Campus Federal Credit Union has immediate opening for a Consumer Loan Underwriter. The primary purpose of this position is to assist Campus Federal in our Mission, to enhance the lives of our members and the communities we serve. This is accomplished by providing excellent service to members and to team members.  A key component of this service is to identify member needs and provide appropriate credit union product solutions that will enhance the lives of our members.

    Responsibilities:

    • Underwrite and evaluate consumer, home equity and lot loan applications originated by the branch offices of the credit union, through the internet, or through personal contact with members. 
    • Generate and issue disclosures required by compliance regulations.
    • Conduct a review and verify all documentation for accuracy to ensure it aligns with findings, completeness and is in compliance.
    • Approve or reject loans within defined limit of authority.
    • Ensure underwriting quality of home equity and lot loans as outlined in CFCU loan policy.  . 
    • Be cognizant of current industry underwriting practices and guidelines 
    • Review HMDA requirements with applicants; read the Government Monitoring Statement; Capture and report HMDA data accurately and timely.
    • Ensure all underwriting conditions are met prior to closing.
    • Respond in a timely manner to all inquiries.
    • Ensure the preparation and processing of forms, legal documents, and disclosures required for home equity and lot loans to protect the interest of CFCU
    • Advise members of various product offerings so they can make informed decisions
    • Work closely with Branch, Loan Operations, and Mortgage staff members to ensure ease of process for members
    • Actively cross-sell additional products and services by identifying the financial needs of current and prospective members and offers appropriate credit union solutions
    • Promote business for CFCU by maintaining good member relations and referring members to appropriate in-house personnel
    • Address complex member inquiries and problem resolution in an accurate and timely fashion.
    • Support managers in any required aspects

    Requirements: 

    • High school diploma/GED 
    • 3 years of experience in loan underwriting, production and/or servicing

Applicants must provide exceptional member service to current and prospective members through efficient handling of paying and receiving functions; handling of member inquiries timely and accurately; offering products and services that meet the member’s needs.

  • Branch Operations Manager

    Campus Federal Credit Union has immediate opening for a Branch Operations Manager to support the Branch Manager by overseeing the efficient operation of both the Perkins and Our Lady of the Lake branches ensuring all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff while conveying a feeling of trust, service, security and satisfaction to members and staff.

    Responsibilities include 

    • Ensure branch operational activities run smoothly and efficiently.
    • Provide leadership, training and supervision within the branch.
    • Coach and monitor team performance to ensure Credit Union goals are achieved.
    • Promote business for the Credit Union by maintaining good member relations and referring members to appropriate personnel for new services.
    • Assist in attaining established Credit Union and branch goals through active participation and promotion of sales management activities.
    • Perform direct supervisory duties of branch staff and coordinates staff for coverage in all related areas of branch operations.
    • Assume responsibility and is accountable for adherence to Credit Union policies and procedures.
    • May perform managerial duties in the absence of the Branch Manager and other capacities; such as, consumer lending, new accounts representative, or safe deposit attendant as deemed appropriate.
    • Assist with performance reviews and counseling sessions.

     Requirements: 

    • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred or five years of experience in a financial institution, at least three of which as a supervisor
    • Comprehensive knowledge of banking rules and regulations
