  • Mortgage Loan Originator

    Campus Federal Credit Union has an immediate opening for a Mortgage Loan Originator in New Orleans. Applicants must be able to provide professional financial services to members related to financing the purchase of residential real property and the refinancing of existing mortgages secured by residential real property. This would include conventional and government loans.

    Responsibilities:

    • Originate mortgage loans to meet CFCU and investor guidelines, performs mortgage loan origination and closing duties, including meeting with customers, procuring documents and signatures.

    • Develop business relationships with realtors, home builders, land developers, real estate attorneys, real estate appraisers, etc. 

    • Represent Campus Federal Credit Union at business development functions and community events.

    • Establish and maintain a robust customer referral network that will generate the mortgage leads needed to build a healthy pipeline of potential loan applicants. 

    • Meet with prospective loan applicants to evaluate their home financing needs, explain the available financing options and provide assistance with the customer’s selection of the loan program that best meets his/her needs. 

    • Pre-qualify home-buyers who wish to know the maximum mortgage they qualify for prior to viewing homes for sale. 

    • Provide appropriate follow up throughout mortgage origination process and make customer contact as necessary.

    • Cross-sell non-mortgage credit union products/services and provide referrals as appropriate.

    • Keeps current on guidelines and regulations.

    • Respond to inbound calls and email requests from interested/qualified borrowers.

    • Originate first mortgage purchase and refinance loans to investor guidelines.

    • Monitor marketplace for new products and services and rates.  Research and recommend to management on new products/services as needed.

    • Recommend revisions to residential lending policies and procedures to management.

    • Provide various reports summarizing mortgage loan activities as requested


    Qualifications:

    • 3-5 years experience in mortgage loan origination

    • NMLS or MLO required.

    • Excellent verbal and writing skills; effective communication

    • Sales experience

  • Financial Service Representative - Call Center

    Campus Federal Credit Union seeks experienced Financial Service Representative for our call center located in our Baton Rouge region to provide exceptional member service to members through a proactive outbound consultative sales model for onboarding, cross sales of products and services, processing retail and mortgage lending requests, handling complicated member inquiries and problem resolution; with the primary goal of increasing products per member in this digital/indirect branch. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Establish initial contact with new members.

    • Exercise initiative to pursue every opportunity to obtain additional products and services through member information obtained from CUAC, credit bureaus, and cross sales protocol.

    • Promotes business for the Credit Union by maintaining good member relations and referring members to appropriate in-house personnel and Credit Union affiliates for new services.

    • Assist in attaining established Credit Union and branch goals through active participation and promotion of sales activities including outbound calling programs.

    • Assumes responsibility and is accountable for adherence to Credit Union policies and procedures.

    • Provides complex retail deposit and loan products and services to current members via phone or online through a consultative sales approach.

    • Handles complex member inquires, financial transactions, account maintenance and problem resolution in an accurate and timely manner.

    • Knowledgeable of consumer and business products and services.

    • Process loan payments for members via phone.

    • Assist Collections by contacting delinquent direct and indirect members.

    • Assist with training new FSRs.

    • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

    • Maintain and manage all reporting for indirect members.

    • Travel between branches as needed.


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred with a minimum of two years’ experience in customer service.  Including new accounts & lending, including determining credit worthiness

    • Must possess strong customer service skills & a strong aptitude in sales, problem resolution, and an ability to overcome member objections;

    • Ability to cross-sell products and services

    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

    • Professional appearance

    Campus Federal Credit Union seeks experienced Financial Service Representative to provide exceptional member service to current and prospective members through consultative sales of appropriate Credit Union products and services. FSR participates and supports Campus Federal in reaching its sales and service goals. Candidates should be friendly and professional and have excellent customer service skills. 2+ years' experience in opening new accounts and consumer lending, including making a lending decision, is required.

    Responsibilities:

    • Actively cross-sell additional products and services by identifying needs of current and prospective members and offers appropriate credit union solutions

    • Promotes business for the Credit Union by maintaining good member relations and referring members to appropriate in-house personnel and Credit Union affiliates for new services

    • Provides routine retail loan products to current and prospective members

    • Assist in attaining established Credit Union and branch goals through active participation and promotion of sales management activities including outbound calling program

    • Assumes responsibility and is accountable for adherence to Credit Union policies and procedures

    • Handle routine member inquires and problem resolution in an accurate and timely fashion

    • Conducts paying and receiving functions as needed


    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years’ experience in new accounts

    • 2+ years’ experience in lending, including determining credit worthiness

    • Strong customer service skills

    • Ability to cross-sell products and services

    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

    Responsibilities:

  • Branch Manager - Shreveport

    Campus Federal Credit Union has immediate opening for a Branch Manager in our Shreveport region.  Responsible for providing exceptional member service to current and prospective members by overseeing the Financial Service Center activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide a superior level of member relations and promotes the sales and service culture through coaching, guidance and staff motivation.

    • Within lending authority, approve/deny loan applications based on applicant’s creditworthiness and Campus Federal loan policies.  This includes loan applications originated by other branch personnel that are above their lending authority.

    • Attain established Credit Union and branch member, loan, and deposit growth goals through active participation in sales management and officer call programs.

    • Participate in community affairs and outside sales visits to increase the Credit Union's visibility and to enhance new and existing business opportunities.

    • Serve as the branch’s subject matter expert relating to more complex loan and deposit account processes and act as liaison between branch personnel and support areas.

    • Promotes business for the Credit Union by maintaining good member relations and referring members to appropriate in-house personnel and Credit Union affiliates for new services.

    • Resolve member complaints in a manner that will maintain member loyalty and protect the reputation of the credit union.

    • Perform supervisory duties of department staff, either directly or through a subordinate manager. Ensure proper branch staffing. Interview, hire, train, coach, motivate, discipline, and evaluate performance of department staff.

    • Provides continuous training to staff regarding operations and policies.

    • Ensure branch adherence to quality control standards during the lending and account opening processes.

    • Ensure all regulatory, compliance, and sensitive member information is maintained and secured.

    Qualifications:

    • Extensive knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies and procedures including but not limited to consumer and business products and services.

    • Excellent communication skills.

    • Professional Image.
