  • Product Specialist

    Campus Federal Credit Union is seeking a Product Specialist. Applicants are responsible for product development, including product research, design, market launch and monitoring of product performance to maximize profitability and meet member needs; utilizing data analytics to determine optimum product mix, delivery channels and pricing for existing and new products and services; providing support for Marketing Department to expand membership based on research, including competitive, industry, consumer and economic trends. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform Annual Product Reviews on existing products and prepare proposals for innovative product and services as identified via researching market areas, competitive offerings, member behavior and industry trends to ensure Campus Federal products meet the changing needs of our members and are fiscally sound. 

    • Prepare and present new product proposals for VP of Marketing and Executive Team based on customer needs, competition and our business model to attract and retain consumer and business members. 

    • Represent the member; be the credit union’s expert on how members interact with the products or services (analytics, surveys, user testing) and present recommendations for existing products and services, as well as input into projects relating to products or services; make recommendations to improve the member experience and ensure brand alignment.

    • Recommend pricing of new products and re-pricing of existing ones based on review of competitive data, profitability and member segment needs on an annual basis. 

    • Work with Marketing Manager to develop strategies for core positioning and messaging of new and potential products and services for marketing campaigns and initiatives. 

    • Work with Research Specialist on reporting, analysis and market potential of existing and potential products using MCIF (Marketing Customer Information File database) and prepare recommendations for VP of Marketing that are mutually beneficial to the credit union and its members. 

    • Analyze marketing, technology and digital industry trends along with competitive market data for Baton Rouge, New Orleans and Shreveport to maximize product portfolio and profitability. 

    • Communicate with all levels of staff within the organization to ensure effectiveness of related Product Plans and programs.

    • Be the expert with respect to all traditional and non-traditional product competition. 

    • Evaluate viability of third-party partnerships/vendors and software interfaces. 
      Participate in the preparation and deployment of various marketing plans and activities. 

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Business, Marketing, or appropriately related field 

    • 5-7 years’ experience in marketing or business environment

    • Proficient in Microsoft Applications including Excel and Word 

    • Excellent analytical, strategic planning and communication (written and verbal) skills 

    • Critical thinker who can develop products and services to keep Campus Federal relevant and top of mind among target consumers 

    • Strong time management, organizational and project management skills 

    • Ability to interface with all levels of personnel within Campus Federal and external organizations 

    • Experience in financial service industry preferred

    Campus Federal Credit Union has an immediate opening for a part time teller in Baton Rouge. 1-2 years teller experience required. Applicants must provide exceptional member service to current and prospective members through efficient handling of paying and receiving functions; handling of member inquiries timely and accurately; offering products and services that meet the member’s needs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide exceptional member service through accurate and prompt member assistance. 

    • Perform paying and receiving functions. 

    • Actively offer Credit Union products and services to current and prospective members. 

    • Assume responsibility and is accountable for adherence to Credit Union policies and procedures. 

    • Perform general account maintenance. 

    • Research and resolve member inquiries and problem resolution accurately and timely. 

    • Assist in attaining established Credit Union and branch goals through active participation and promotion of sales activities.  

    • Responsible for ensuring safety of Credit Union assets. 

    Hours: up to 30 hours a week and Saturdays

  • Loan Operations Specialist I

    Campus Federal Credit Union has an immediate opening for a Loan Operations Specialist to ensure a signed promissory note is in file for each loan booked to the system; safe keeping loan document; processing financial loan transactions according to established guidelines; checking for signed promissory note daily for each loan booked on prior working day. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Imaging
      • Monitor Booked Loan Report for timely receipt of signed promissory note for all booked loans and for the signed credit application for all Credit Cards
      • Prepare Loan Operations work to be imaged and monitor to ensure processed timely
      Operational Activities
      • Order paper titles from DMV as needed
      • Submit credit protection insurance claims, process payments and answer member inquiries
      • Process MRC/GAP claims and refunds as well as answering member inquiries
      • Issue letter of guarantee to insurance company on vehicle loss claims
      • Process total loss claims, total loss payments & release titles to insurance companies
      • Create payoff statements for dealerships & insurance companies
      • Maintain Pending Title Report (includes perfecting liens) for loans with vehicle or UCC collateral; follow-up to ensure receipt of lien perfected collateral
      • Primary for processing financial transactions on loans to include but not limited to posting of payments, payoffs, reversals, and corrections. 

    • Reports
      • Closed Loan Report 

    • Filing/Document Processing
      • File all promissory notes, automobile titles, recorded UCCs, etc. in note jackets as appropriate
      • Pull charged-off loans and titles for collections
      • Process request for loan documents, titles, etc, and maintenance of Collateral Log to track
      • Real Estate Insurance – Scan and email to WNC

    • Mail
      • Process and distribute mail for Lending Department
      • Process and deliver indirect loan packets

    • Balancing
      • Maintain official checks and logs and audit as appropriate
      • Collect department checks and deliver to OSS

    • Departmental
      • Order supplies for Lending Department
      • Provide assistance to Loan Operations as needed

    Qualifications:

    • 1 + years of loan operations experience or relevant financial institution experience

    • Knowledge of federal & state regulations and of loan documentation & processing.

    • Excellent math skills

    • Proficient in the use of PC, keyboard, 10 key adding machine, Word, Excel

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    • Enjoys working in a support area
